Paroles de la chanson Beauty Sleep par Jane Remover

Who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you

You came to me in a dream
You've got a smile that I want the world to see (Who you are)
And I try to keep it clean, oh-oh
Boy, you know it starts and it ends with me
I built the world for you to face it
Pretty hurts like a broken heart
And you've been talking 'bout a changing
I tell you I'm in love with who you are
Did you always wanna take my hand?
Would you wish it on a rising star?
Close your eyes, no matter how long
And run away with me, no matter how

Our world's un-promised
With my understandings (Who you are)
Won't you solve my puzzle-face? (It's who you are)
And our perpetual frowns

It's like you came to me in a dream
I think you've got a secret, it's unfolding at the seams (Who you are)
And you've been trying to keep it clean, oh-oh
Boy, you know it starts and it ends with me

I built the world for you to face it
Pretty hurts like a broken heart
And you've been talking 'bout a changing
I tell you I'm in love with who you are
Did you always wanna take my hand? (My hand)
Would you wish it on a rising star?
Close your eyes, no matter how long
And run away with me, no matter how

Boy, you know it starts and it ends with me

You're the closest thing to human perfection
I'm not a foolish girl anymore (Yeah, yeah)
Come with me all the way down
(You've grown sick of my defeatist attitude)
Come with me all the w down, down, down, down
(You came to me in a )
(I want to matter to you in ways only we can think of)
Down, down (Futuro pianista)

You came to me in a dream
You've got a smile that I want the world to see (Who you are)
And I try to keep it clean, oh-oh
Boy, you know it starts and it ends with me

Quelqu'un apparaît, avec "a smile that I want the world to see", un sourire si beau qu'il mérite d'être partagé, exposé.

Les mêmes mots reviennent, légèrement décalés — "it's like you came to me in a dream" au lieu de "you came to me in a dream".

Descendre, encore

Le pont final change de registre brutalement. "Come with me all the way down" répété jusqu'à l'épuisement, des voix qui se superposent en parenthèses — "I want to matter to you in ways only we can think of" — et une étrange irruption en espagnol, "Futuro pianista", pianiste du futur, qui flotte là sans explication.
