Paroles de la chanson Anouman par Cécil Recchia
Her eyes, travelled from the green slope down to the pathway, the coastline.
She mentally pictured the portraits of the friends,
Some of them past and gone,
Resenting for a while their absence.
Not being here with her to come and share her contemplation.
The large beach underneath,
The faint draught dancing, through the room.
Gently swaying in the open-armed window-panes,
She quietly stepped down and threw a paused glance
At the sunbathed hall.
Later there would be blazing coals in the fireplace and guests.
Whirling shadows would be cast over the walls,
But now she was alone and grateful she could wander further.
The smoothness of the late summer grass, on her bare feet, delightful.
Withdrew the rusty screw, so the fence to the beach swung open.
Pacing seaward she could feel the cooling sand,
Moved till she was knee-deep.
And as the water fully embraced her,
She smiled.
And as the water fully embraced her,
She smiled.
